I have experience working in both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, and understand the ROI vs. mission dichotomy that companies face when undertaking any new initiative. I have managed projects in education, tech, payroll, events and business relationships, and across multiple organizations, multiple levels within organizations and across geographies.
Through my professional experience, I have served the nonprofit and public media communities:
- In multiple roles across nine years at Lehigh Valley Public Media (LVPM) in Bethlehem, PA, including Project Management, Office Management, Creative Services and Chief of Staff to the COO, focusing on business operations and strategy. LVPM is home to LehighValleyNews.com, public TV and education brand PBS39, local NPR news radio station WLVR, and the Battling Opioids education initiative.
- As Vice President, Pennsylvania PBS – the collective name for the seven public television stations across the state of PA. Explore some of the collective work in our impact and use report and datacasting research with American Institutes for Research.
- As a graduate of the Public Media Diversity Leadership Initiative (PMDLI, Fuhrman University, The Riley Institute)
- As a volunteer on the Board of Directors of TEDxLehighRiver – the local TED initiative in the Lehigh Valley in PA whose mission is to give voice to ideas worth spreading that inspire expansive thinking in our community through the production of TEDxLehighRiver events.
